The Golden Years Festival for 2013 will be held in Waterford from 11th to the 13th of November. A full and exiciting programme of events are planned to ensured the enjoyment of visitors and locals alike.

The Festival includes "Song Contest & Cabaret" on Monday and Tuesday evenings with the Golden Years Festival Ball on the Wednesday evening. Day time activities include Indoor Bowls, Art Competition and visits to places of interest.
Now in its tenth year, the idea for a Golden Years Festival came from the late Anna Manahan, Waterford's renowned International actor. Speaking at the Age & Power Conference organised by Waterford Area Partnership in 2004 she said that older people should be proud of their acheivements and celebrate their contribution to society by holding a Golden Years Festival.
